UNC Health Wayne Welcomes Dr. Lori Spisak to UNC Health Women’s OBGYN Care
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Lori Spisak has joined the team at UNC Health Women's OBGYN Care, located at 2400 Wayne Memorial Drive, Suite I, Goldsboro, NC. Dr. Spisak, who previously provided care at Wayne Women's Clinic PA, brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for women's health.
With an extensive career in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Spisak has a track record of delivering comprehensive and compassionate care. She has served as the Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at Ascension River District Hospital in East China, Michigan, where she was responsible for overseeing maternal and child health, managing the department of gynecology, and leading quality assurance initiatives. Her leadership in the Obstetric Initiative (OBI), aimed at reducing primary C-sections, is a testament to her dedication to improving patient outcomes.
Dr. Spisak’s vision of providing excellent care in an environment that fosters growth, creativity, and connection aligns perfectly with UNC Health Wayne’s commitment to putting patients first. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Spisak is passionate about empowering her patients and providing them with the highest standard of care.
Dr. Spisak earned her medical degree from Wayne State Medical School in Detroit, Michigan, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital. Her academic achievements, research on women's health, and professional recognition—such as being a finalist for the Port Huron Times Herald’s Best OB/GYN award—further demonstrate her dedication to the field.
