Supporting the Community through a Period of Transition: A Joint Message from Wayne Women’s Clinic, P.A. and UNC Health Wayne
Recently, Wayne Women’s Clinic, P.A. announced that there will be a reduction in the number of providers in their office beginning around the middle of August.
Wayne Women’s Clinic, P.A., a private and independent practice, has been providing exceptional OB/GYN care to our community for over 60 years through its partnership with UNC Health Wayne. This collaboration has allowed Wayne Women’s Clinic, P.A. to deliver patients at UNC Health Wayne and support those referred for delivery by the Wayne County Health Department.
In response to the decreasing number of providers at Wayne Women’s Clinic, P.A. UNC Health Wayne and Wayne Women’s Clinic, P.A. are actively collaborating on recruitment initiatives to bring more OB physicians to the area. They are also developing plans to ensure a smooth transition for expecting mothers and their families following the mid-August date. Additionally, current efforts focus on supporting the remaining OBs and midwives as UNC Health Wayne and Wayne Women’s Clinic, P.A. discuss the future of OB care in our community.
