Community Health Initiatives

At UNC Health Wayne, we understand our responsibility to provide our community with access to quality healthcare and preventative care services, regardless of ability to pay.

In Fiscal Year 2023, UNC Health Wayne provided community benefits totaling more than $14.5 million. This includes more than:

• $11 million in charity care
• $1.82 million in community health improvement services and community benefit operations
• $211,000 for community-building activities
